What is your favorite part of working with the fellowship program?
My favorite aspect of taking part in the fellowship program is getting to see the fellows transition over time from when I first meet them during the interview process, to working with them on research and teaching activities, observing them during their fellowship series presentations, and finally seeing them set out on their careers with the completion of their programs at the certificate ceremony. As an educator, it’s nice to see good things happen to people that put in the effort.
Do you have any advice for current or incoming fellows?
There are no barriers to success, just detours that favor those with creativity and intelligence.
